Job Description

  • The mission of the Project Manager is to oversee and lead the project to its success. The role entails a great amount of planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, closing and evaluating projects and ensuring this is completed in a defined time and budget.
  • Work with the Expansion Manager(s) and Product Manager(s) to ensure partnerships (legal agreements, scope of partnerships, obligations etc.) are closed and ready for operational implementation
  • Create project scoping based on the mission and vision of the project detailing the plan, designation of resources, budget, monitoring of progress, and keeping the stakeholders informed at all times
  • Ensure that company and contact information of regional acquirers and/or partner processors are in place (technical, commercial, operational, legal, risk, financial, and emergency contacts)
  • Ensure important documentations such as acquirer and/or processor API documentations, manuals, transaction flow and logic, supported payment types, functionalities, limits, risk checks are in possession and implemented according to the scope of partnership
  • Ensure important credentials e.g. acquiring platform, processor backoffice, MIDs, Merchant Accounts, Banks Account Logins, sandbox accounts etc. are in place, tested, and documented
  • Identify key internal technical personnel supporting our gateway
  • Ensure that the gateway is ready to support the technical requirements of the partnership
  • Work with the Product Management team to ensure Gateway API documentation is in place and supports the business model of the entity being established
  • Ensure operational and procedural documentations are in place or create procedures such as;
    • Workflows for payment acceptance, risk management, chargebacks, etc.
    • Process guide for onboarding of new merchants, including of KYC, KYB, AMLA, Risk Assessment and Underwriting, and gateway onboarding
  • Ensure internal merchant agreements or tripartite agreements are in place
  • Establish internal repository and organizational system to ensure all of the files are properly managed and made available
  • Work with the Operations Manager to create and establish teams to support the new business and operational group such as Customer Service, Technical Support Team, Treasury Team, etc.
  • Work with the technology team to determine the appropriate communication support channels, repositories, ticketing systems etc.
  • Work with the Treasury Team to create appropriate procedures for transaction reconciliation and merchant settlements, and financial reporting is in place
  • Work with the Operations Manager to identify key and support roles
  • Work with the Operations Manager to identify shift, schedules, working hours, and Key Performance Indicators for the support teams

  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Work on other task assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of project management and related experience gained in a financial, banking, ecommerce, payments, FinTech environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent organizational skills required for this position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity of payment journey/experiences from Card Payments and Alternative Payment Method or have developed products based on these experiences and payment methods
